In connection with the work of the project Erasmus in our school will be held under the motto: "the School of new chances and opportunities." The school in Warpunach placed in Zyndakach is a small rural school. It is a public one, and it consists of primary school and high school. There are 10 groups of classes, studying 209 children, who in many cases come from poor families. The school has 20 teachers and offers two foreign languages: English and German. The location of the school in rural areas gives some limitation. Our students do not have such opportunities for their development like peers from the cities. They are not able to participate in various extra-curricular activities, and have limited access to culture and modern media. This adversely affects their progress in learning and prevents them from developing hobbies and interests . We want to implement a project that will allow us to give the same chances of our students. We want our school could provide a level of education corresponding to the standards of the cities, as well as EU standards. Therefore, we have
planned the following activities:
• Develop a detailed strategy
• Versatile preparing for training
• Departure of teachers to the UK;
•The training of other teachers by sharing knowledge achieved during the training (information meetings, classes available to everyone at school , learning English language );
• Implementation of events promoting learning foreign languages among our students and learning about the culture of European countries
- Christmas Song Competition
- District Foreign Song Competition
- Day of Foreign Languages
- The European Day;
• Cooperation with schools from other European Union countries both in electronic form (eTwinning) as well as student exchanges and teachers contacts
• Reporting the progress of the project and disseminate its results;
• Implementing achieved experience to everyday school practice and also improving the language skills of students and teachers ;
We hope that by implementing these tasks we will get our goals. They were worked out by us
at the very beginning of the writing an application form, and we will be guided by them at every stage of the project. The realization of these goals will contribute to raise the level of teaching in our school and to provide our students a chance to achieve success in the future.
And here they are:
• The same opportunities for our students to students studying in the cities;
• Innovate of creative teaching techniques, effectively motivating everyday school practice;
• Raising the quality of language education using modern teaching methods and the participation of teachers and students in European projects;
• Innovate of ICT and online tools for everyday school practice;
• Cooperation with schools , students, teachers and school management
• Development of a pro-European attitude among students ;
The project of “The school of new chances and opportunities" was written in such a way to give all our students a chance of participating in it.
A group of teachers participating in the project consists of 5 people. Two of them are teachers of English. Their participation in the training methodology will allow to innovate education program of modern methods and teaching strategies. The rest project participants consist of two Polish language teachers and teacher education, integrated early childhood. The goal, which
they want to achieve through its participation in the course is the ability to communicate effectively in English. Implementation of the project "School of new chances and opportunities" will also impact on other target groups. It will benefit not only the students and teachers of our school , but also teachers of other schools, parents and the local community.
Our project let them know how much they can gain by engaging in such activities, as well as provide them with knowledge about the EU and culture other nations, enrich their methodological knowledge, and encourage to learn foreign languages and use of modern ICT.
